    Aw, shucks! This place is awesome! The interior seemed kind of divey, and there was hardly any patrons under the age of 32 but you came for the food, right? We ordered the $30 Oyster platter, which was basically a sampler of most of their oyster dishes. Half dozen sauteed oysters (sauteed in butter, garlic and lemon), half dozen deep fried oysters (which we substituted for, instead of the pan-fried oysters), 6 oyster shooters, and another half dozen raw oysters. -- The sauteed oysters were easily the best. They were delicious and had the most diverse range of flavor (salty and tangy and gooey) -- The raw oysters came in a close second. You cannot go wrong with fresh, raw oysters dammit. -- The deep-fried oysters were the next on my favorites list. It's hard to screw up deep-fried food, so there you go. -- And lastly, the oyster shooters were my least favorite. I didn't dislike them, but the three aforementioned were already so good. My mouth is also pretty small so it was difficult taking in all the bloody mary mix AND the oyster at the same time haha

    Two words - red tide - this does not bode well when eating oysters. You would think I would know when red tide was but I guess I'm in denial about such things. So we came here during, yup, red tide. I also did not ask until after our oysters had been served. What got me to question where they were from was due to their appearance. They were so scrawny from what we are used to here in the beloved Pacific NW. These little twerpy oysters were out of Mexico.. they looked exhausted too,. I cannot blame the place for that after all. I learned a lesson. The food all in all, yup, bar food. Nothing too exciting. I ordered a bloody mary. It just tasted like any other bloody mary I've had in a local bar. Folks working there were friendly and quick to take your order. No complaints there. When we got out of our car we did get welcomed by one of the patrons. He was carrying on about our cool political bumper sticker sign and just getting all chummy with us which was a great first impression.

    Swing in for the oyster shooters. The pan fried oysters were overly breaded and greasy, and pricier than other better options along the Oregon coast. If you must get them, the buffalo pan fried oysters are way better than the traditional. Fun little dive bar. The atmosphere and oyster shooters are 4 stars, the rest of the food was disappointing and worthy of only 2. Make it a great time with some drinks and oyster shooters.

    We were in the mood for some oysters so we were very happy to stumble upon this place. The oysters shooters was very good for an amazing price. Every thing tasted fresh and yummy. The service was attentive and very friendly. We will definitely come back here if we ever come back to Lincoln City.

    There's a good vibe here. I like it. Good food. Good people. Feels like a local dive but with an uptick in positive attitude. You can lose some time in here and not feel bad about it. Covered smoking section out front.

    Awww...you done Shucked up now!!!! WOW! What a wonderful experience. Located in a private lot a stone's throw away from the beach this right turn is an absolute must! Though, I've only experienced breakfast at this splendid eatery posing as a bar, that was enough for me to shed all doubt about the goodness emanating from their kitchen. It is absolutely a local joint. As I sat waiting for my order each incoming patron was greeted by name. Upon entering my first thought was "Uh, oh! the record is gonna skip and this honky tonk is about to get riled up!" I couldn't have been more wrong. We were greeted with a warm welcoming smile by our server who was also the bartender and her pleasantry did not stop there! She was quick to offer suggestions of her favorite menu items when asked and she could not have steered us any righter!!! Yes, I said RIGHTER! Starving, we jumped right in with the big fish! It is the coast so it only makes sense to order seafood! Besides, Shakespeare's question of "What's in a name?" had nothing to do with Shucker's! Oyster Omelette with Mushrooms and Onions, Crab and Avocado Omelette accompanied with spuds on one and hash-browns on the other. Just not to spite the namesake we topped off our order with a side of Buffalo Oysters!! If you are a fan of oysters Shucker's should be your go to on this stretch of Hwy 101. They were everything you could ask for, plump, moist, succulent, flavorful and plump and moist and succulent and flavorful. Each forkful of omelette was loaded with a blast of juicy oyster meat and the spuds were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Crab & Avocado Omelette was just as good! The crab was fresh, sweet & in bulk! Crab was tremendously plentiful within this omelette and every bite forced you to take another. Imagine my dismay when I realized there was only one bite left!? It was eerily reminiscent of the ancient Greek Muses, Thalia and Melpomene. Happy, sad then happy again. It was that good! I was overjoyed at the taste but disappointed I had finished; i wanted more. The eggs could use a little more TLC but i was willing to overlook that because the filling was that much better. Which brings me to the Buffalo Oysters... It was a tough decision to make but once again our server came to the rescue! Pan Fried vs. Buffalo, hmmm. Her answer? One in direct accord with my thoughts, "Get both!" and on any other day I would have but today we settled for the more rare of the two. We went Buffalo style and definitely not round the outside! What a choice! The flavors exploded as molars met, top and bottom. Again, I reflected on that "Right turn!" This should have been our first and possibly only stop and it appeared it wasn't just I who shared that sentiment. As we dove face first into our plates conversations were taking place around us as people discussed where to go to find oysters and mussels in the vicinity. "You know you can go right there off 12th?" queried one woman who doubled as our food runner and resident barfly. Separately, another gentleman exclaimed, "This is the only place I'll eat breakfast when I'm on vacation!" I think I just joined that club, as well! After a horrific experience not too far away from Shucker's the night before each bite was met with a bit of --shall we say-- eater's remorse! We kicked ourselves for not having dinner at Shucker's and vowed to never make that mistake again.

    Oyster Shooters,..need I say more? Definitely a locals hangout - which I love.. Staff were super friendly.. The cook had a great sense of humor. Food.. It was good. The fish on the fish and chips was super crispy. Not your typical bar food. I would most certainly go again.

    I am not lying when I say that I had some of the BEST in shell oysters I have ever had. I wasn't blown away with the breaded/baked and sauteed oysters, but the oyster shooters (which their horseradish sauce added) knocked my socks off! We had a ton of food and a couple beers for an extremely fair price! I can't wait to go back to the coast to go back to Shucker's!!

    Stopped here on the way to a casino w my pal. We opted for the seafood platter which turned out to be huuuuuuuge. We subsequently had our first oyster shooters which was an experience we will never forget. The place was full of locals so it took them a second to warm up to us but after the oysters we were one of them!!! Bonded with some local men about the concept of the shooters. All in all a lovely time. Would recommend!!!

    Came here cause reviews were great. What a dingy little dive!! For starters we were seated by an elderly lady who placed in front of us dirty old used coasters, literally used many times!! Only a handful of senior citizens in the bar! Bartender very curt seemed impatient! We decided not to eat so just ordered bloody Mary's which were ok and 1/2 doz. Oysters on the half shell which were displayed nice and they were fresh! Won't be back!! Oh yea and I ordered an extra lemon wedge for my bloody Mary that was deliver by hand and plopped on my glass, how tacky!

    As could be optimally expected from a divey seafood shack along the Oregon Coast, the food was fresh, portions plentiful, drinks strong, and service stellar. Phenomenal pricing on top of everything, this pit stop is a no brainer for anyone in the area. The oyster shooters are a steal at a dollar apiece, and enough vodka in each shooter to make me think my whiskey cocktail ($3.50) was the perfect chaser.

    Had breakfast this AM. Ham, eggs and spuds for me, Kitchen scramble for wife. Good portions, ham was from a bone in ham and very nice slab plus scramble had same. Returned to watch Alamo Bowl. Had Oyster Po Boy, wife had chowder & corn bread. We recommend both. Greg did cooking.. Kudos to both bar-maids for friendly service for 2 out of towers. Well worth stop if in Lincoln City.

    Our favor bar in Lincoln city! Maybe even the world!! I can't explain how much I love this bar. It makes me feel like I'm at home but even better because there oysters are extremely fresh and very reasonably priced. They have the best clam chowder in town and the drinks are poured just right! They are definitely a local's style place but they will make anyone feel welcome. This is always the first and last stop we make when in Lincoln City. There is no better send off then a Shucker's bloody Mary, bowl of chowder and a dozen oysters on the half shell!

    The oysters here are deLICious. I usually prefer smaller oysters, like Kumomoto, because they tend to be sweeter (at least where I get them). But here, the oysters are huge, and plump, and fresh, and sweet. Outstanding. We got the oyster sampler - 6 on the half shell, 6 shooters, 6 sauteed, 6 fried ($26 - good value!). The oysters on the half shell were my favorite, and the shooters were good, too. The fried oysters had bread crumb coating and were so big they looked almost like crab cakes. Golden delicious outside, with the inside still plump and juicy - cooked perfectly. I was not as big a fan of the sauteed oysters - they didn't have as much flavor for me. We also tried the clam chowder ($8), which was good - not crazy memorable, but fresh, and I liked that it was not too thick. And, the chicken gizzards ($3.50) - they were about what you'd expect, a basket of gizzards fried like fried chicken, kinda oily, okay but not special. The margaritas were fine - from a mix, but only $5.50. No complaints!

    Looks can be deceiving. At first glance this seemed like a total dive bar, but it actually turned out to be one of the best places I visited on the coast. We were shocked by the outrageously reasonable prices for both drinks and food. Once we took a look at the menu, there was no way we could pass up the $30 Oyster Platter featuring: 6 oyster shooters, 6 oysters on the half shell, 6 pan seared oysters, and 6 fried oysters. Two dozen oysters at that price is pretty darn great. We were very pleased with the quality of the meal, and even ordered another six shooters because they were delicious (and a little boozy, which was alright by me). My fiance also topped it all off with some deep fried gizzards... which I'm not a fan of, but he devoured every last one of them. The staff was really friendly as well and made us feel quite welcome. If you are on the coast, this place should be on your list to grab some great happy hour munchies.

    I had biscuits and gravy and my husband had a Denver omelet - both were awesome. Plus their potatoes rock. Service was great. Plus there's something about eating in a bar/lounge like setting while on a vacation in an ocean town full of retired regulars that completes the experience - just genuine, not pretentious. Did I mention The Price is Right was on all the TVs? Seriously, vacation breakfast does not get any better than this.

    Don't judge this place by its looks! We ate breakfast here on our way back to Calif after a week in Lincoln City and we should have made this one of the first. Service was great, food was very good, prices are good and the place was well kept. I had their corned beef hash and loved the chunks of corned beef. If they would have offered some kind of potatoes, either home fries or hash browns, I would've rated this a 5 star experience. Everything else was great and we agree with Will E's review below.

    First I feel it is very important to note that shuckers is not a dive bar! I've been in many a greasy, dark dive and never seen 15 flat screen TV's an extensive seafood menu, or walls packed with artisan crafts and art and shit to buy. It's a working class, local filled, clean, well tended bar/restaurant with an awesome juke box and boisterous regulars. I had a prawn cocktail that rivaled Jake's. The drinks will put hair on your chest and eyeballs. My husband had the local cod and chips and it was dreamy, I'm not a fish person and even I enjoyed the super light batter and flakey sweet cod. All in all this is a good little joint and worth the drive to the south side of town. If you are lucky you'll hear "achey breaky heart" while you are there.

    3.5 out of 5 -- First off: EXCELLENT food and the bar is a fun place to be. People were warm and friendly. We were there on a Thursday evening. The cook brought our food to us ... because we waited for 50 minutes for the food to arrive. It seems that there is only one cook, but he's a great one. When it's busy and they're serving a full menu, one cook doesn't seem like enough. The other strike is that a salad was supposed to come with one meal ... and it never came. The truth is we'll go back because the food, when it arrived, was really good. I had the sauteed prawns in wine and garlic. Delicious! My husband had the chicken strips and hand-cut fries. Again, his food was good.

    We had oyster shooters, a Spanish coffee, and a bowl of clam chowder. Sadly the oysters were drowning in cocktail sauce so basically you get a shotglass full of it with a lump of something slippery inside. It does tell you this on the menu as it turns out, but as a native Oregonian who orders oyster shooters often I can tell you that it is rarely served this way unless the restaurant is just not proud of how fresh the oysters are. Otherwise, why would you eat a raw oyster if you can' taste it?! The chowder was very good. The service was stale. The bartender acted like he could care less. So half star off for that and half star off for not knowing how to serve an oyster shooter. However, I would visit this place again.

    Oysters were AWESOME!!! Cleaned nicely, taste great and not pricey. Definitely worth going for that. However, shooters were Bleh very weird bloody mary mix. Ambiance and everything else was very sloppy looking, but wold go back again.

    We had the oyster platter, dinner salad, and baked potato, and it was great! Oysters prepared four ways....all done well. Your classic local dive bar. Drunk locals yelling at the waitress. Video poker everywhere. They have some decent TVs if you need to catch a game.

    I can only testify to the bar side of this place. Nothing fancy here, just a plain old drinking joint. Nice bartender, and friendly folks drinking here. Everybody here introduced themselves and asked my name and how I ended up here. Strong pours, decent beer and booze selection, and dive bar prices. Good jukebox that leans more toward older classics, but still something to listen to for everybody. Not the cleanest place, but clean enough and this is a dive bar. Closes at 10pm, but you can always stumble across the street to the Snug Harbor if you're interested in staying out later.

    As a kid, I loved this place when it was, Dairy Queen and since it changed into a dive bar the love is still alive!!! *I think it was the most innovative sign change in coastal history... they changed the Dairy Queen sign into an oyster!... Whenever I see the sign it reminds me of my childhood memories. Shucker's is AWESOME for breakfast and/or lunch and you'd better plan on drinking during both! The food is hearty and the drinks are strong... Plus, they've got a covered smoking patio! *Food is cheap along with the booze! Hey, the food isn't the best nor the worst and it won't give you the runs! -Don't let the locals scare you off (anyone who's not retired & lives at the coast might look a tad rough around the edges BUT they're quite friendly) from enjoying a place you'd never think you'd fall in love with!!! The bartender's are very friendly and I recommend the Chicken Fried Steak! Price Range: I made the price Moderate (which includes booze).

    First things first, this is a dive. Situated in a rejected Dairy Queen (complete with a sign converted from a DQ logo into an oyster), this is a hangout for salty locals and smart drunks. Don't let that deter you, especially if you're a connoisseur of fine drunk food. Don't let it scare you from ordering the raw oysters either; the clean, fresh half-shell oysters are only exceeded by the delicious shooters. The oysters only push Shuckers into the 3-4 star category, though. While clean and fresh, there's only so much that can be done with a raw oyster. No, what puts Shuckers at a solid, glowing five stars is the Wimpy Burger. The Wimpy Burger is not a fancy food, nor is it a monster burger. A Wimpy Burger consists of a plain white bun, a tiny burger patty and a dab of special sauce. These three simple ingredients combine to make a meal that will make you slap someone to make sure it's real. And I ate them sober. Order at least a few; eat one or two and you're going to be jonesing for them long after.

    This is a dive bar that happens to serve raw oysters. And other than the one food item they don't cook (and thus can't crew up too bad), their food is decidedly of the dive bar variety and quality. Enticed by the promise of oysters, we wandered in here last week. The oysters were good! The rest of the food was greasy as sin. That's pretty much all I can say about the place. Next time we're there we won't go back, I'm sure there are other good places to eat.

    So glad we checked this place out! Yes its a divey joint but a good one. I don't know if its standard practice but they had live music, people dancing & playing the spoons and as soon as we sat down we were offered free food from what looked like a pot luck they were hosting. Ribs, beans, salad, rolls...the works. We ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell which tasted fresh and delicious. Also, one of the vodka shooters which was intense. $5 for a double jack 'n coke-WIN. Definitely felt like a locals spot, perfect because we wanted to avoid the super taxed touristy places.

    The place is a dive bar, which really didn't bother me as much as the bartender, who found it impossible to smile or act like he liked his job. The kids from the kitchen who brought the food out were great and the food was pretty good. I really liked the oyster shooters, deep fried oysters were "OK".

    PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE DO NOT TURN RIGHT INTO MO'S! Stop at this bar for the best chowder and sliders I have found at the beach (for a reasonable price). The atmosphere is a dive bar with no apologizes but the chowder is about 10000000 times better then Mo's for about half the price with none of the long lines! Though if by sharing this information with you all it turns into a Mo's shenanigans I will BE PISSED. So please don't make me regret this.....

    Yes, this place is a dive bar, but hot damn...the oyster shooters are reason enough to go back to this place over and over and over again. We went to Shuckers in an attempt to get some good seafood in a local's setting, rather in some sheek, touristy restaurant. We walked in, sat down and surveyed the menu. Listed was your usual pub grub fare, but they also had quite a list of oyster dishes. The one that caught our eye was half a dozen oyster shooters (with bloody mary mix, pepper vodka and a HUGE oyster in each shot glass) for $6. $6!!!! Not only were they cheap, but they were SO SO TASTY!!!! So much that we had another order!! We also had the clam bits and chips. The tarter sauce that came with the clam dish was SO GOOD! There was just enough dill in it to make it refreshing and yummy! Not only was the grub good and cheap, the service was attentive and friendly, but so were the beers. We had two draught domestic pints and they were $2 each. So with two beers, 12 oyster shooters and clam strips with fries it was just a bit over $20. What a great price for a great meal. Wish I was back there now, I'd love an oyster shooter right now!

    We got there mid afternoon for a plate full of the wonderful oysters others have written about. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The place is definitely a dive, the the main bartender seemed to be too busy to wait on us so he passed us off to a very nice young woman. The menu is nothing special, but if you are in the mood for fresh oysters, this is the place.

    Food was mediocre at best. Burgers were too greasy, the pan-fried oysters were mostly breading, and the prawns were okay. However, the oyster shooters and the oysters in the half shell were fantastic. Overall, a pretty blah experience with some redeemable qualities.

    A dive bar with flower boxes at the windows. We ate here our first night in Lincoln City. Arriving shortly before the kitchen closed, the barkeep informed us to get our order in fast. My husband and I shared the oyster platter, fresh and delicious. I would call this a local bar over a dive bar. Regulars sipping and playing cribbage. Would go again.

    Oysters! Chicken strips are cut fresh from chicken breast, can't beat that. Service was very good. The kitchen was very busy, everything came out in a very timely manner, no long wait. It was a little loud, but everyone was having a good time, not a "bad loud". My only dislike was that the door leading outside to the smoking area was open and I could smell the lingering smoke from the group of smokers. The fresh coastal air helped it dissipate quickly! Have a beer at The Pelican, but make the drive down for the food to Shuckers!!

    I had the chicken strips. Hand cut and breaded. They were the best chicken strips I have ever had. I got 5 pieces for $8.50. I had a choice of a green salad or fries. I think that the ranch dressing was made there. This is a bar. No minors. I was there by myself and felt OK about it. I'll go back and try the fish strips.

    Little hole in the wall bar with some good home style breakfast. My wife had suggested we split the chicken fried steak, but I swore I knew better and said no. Go figure... She was right. We both had to stop after trying to take that behemoth down because it took us out. She even said she started getting the food sweats. Luckily, when we told them we couldn't take it home in a box, due to being from out of town, the bar tender said he would give it to his feral cats. Yay! We weren't just mindless wasters then. We were able to help a cause. Okay well really it was just luck that happened. Lesson of the day: listen to the wife.

    Looking for a place on the Oregon coast for fresh in the shell oysters, this joint said it was an oyster bar. Well.....it is. I love local dive bars, and if I was looking for one where locals hang out and a gaggle of people from all walks of life come in, then this is a 5 star dive bar. Unfortunately we were looking for something a little more oyster barish, and was probably my fault since I mental picture was that of something in California that elevates the common oyster to that of something delicious and something that one would go to just for the little devil. Well, the oysters were ok, but when the selection of accoutrements to grease the oyster on it's gullet trip were a tiny cup of bottled cocktail sauce with it's matching little paper cup of horseradish. The tasteless cocktail sauce couldn't be revived even with the marriage of the other paper cup of mediocre horseradish. My wife made the mistake of ordering the clam chowder, myself having had enough fish and chips all week, I opted for their "special" burger. Having done wallpapering before, her clam chowder must have bubbled in their cauldron one week too much since she could place her soup spoon in the center of the bowl and after about a minute we gave up waiting to see it lean to one side or another. My burger was OK, other than it oozed out both the tomatoes and onion several times before I was able to finish it. It was the best burger I had today. All in all, it was disappointing as a restaurant but if one wishes to spend a long afternoon tossing down beers or bourbons, it's a perfectly acceptable neighborhood joint. I'm glad we are only visiting the area and returning to California soon. To be fair, I am sure the locals love the place, and I am pretty sure they don't order much food there.

    I was looking through yelp for a seafood place in Lincoln City and Shucker's had many reviews and high rating. The comments about this being a dive bar described it perfectly. Locals were having their afternoon drinks while playing video poker. Several games were on tv throughout the bar. The people were friendly and service was consistent. We were ready for some oysters and tried the oyster sampler. It was a lot more food than we were expecting and was plenty to share. 6 of each: shooters, on the half shell, fried, and sautéed. The oysters were fresh and meaty. My favorites were the oysters in the half shell and the sautéed oysters that was in a garlicky butter sauce. I love oysters shooters but the shots had too much liquid for me. The jalapeño vodka definitely gives them a kick but waters down the cocktail sauce. Still very yummy though! Next time-I'm going try their other items and more oysters! Will definitely be back.

    Friends and family said go to Shuckers Oyster Bar when in Lincoln City, OR. If this is the best in town, don't expect to eat seafood in Lincoln City. I'm sorry to give you the news, its awful. The oysters were dirty and fishy. I had to run to a public restroom within 15 minutes after eating the Oyster Combo TWICE. Yes, 6 fresh, 6 shooters in a creepy bloody mary mix, 6 fried, and 6 broiled. $30. They were all full of sewer muck spooge. [unpurged, unflushed] The waitress was friendly and quick with the super cold beers. I'm still trying to get the stink off my tongue. One other thought. Its not a fishing town. Do you really think a coastal seaside town has fresh seafood to serve anymore (for the most part)? The seafood comes from all over with little exception. Sorry Shuckers!

    The food is fast, fresh, and fun! The service is fantastic. Don't leave Lincoln City without coming here!!! Plenty of choices for the non-seafood eater too! Check them out for breakfast as well!!!

    Visiting from Southern CA, we wanted fresh oysters. Read some Yelp reviews so decided to stop in. It's true, really fresh. They had the milky tasting oysters. Atmosphere was laid back and casual like most local bars. Quite quaint with only one waitress but it wasn't busy so she was able to service everyone quickly. We were looking for seafood that day and they didn't have a big seafood selection so we only ordered the oysters on a half shell and oyster shooters. The shooters not so great but the half shells were fresh. Of all the oyster houses we've been to, Bahamas ranked #1 and this is #2 on my list.

    Came in for fresh seafood. Upon walking in the door it smells like an ash tray due to the smoking section being right outside the front door. Walking in the door it immediately says a dark dingy dive bar. Server was nice and food was surprisingly good. Decent place once you get past first impressions.

    For a "dive" bar, this place is positively tolerable and serves very good standard bar fare typical of a costal town. Service was prompt and friendly, and we saw the cook deliver several items to tables while our server was assisting others. This was just the type of lunch we were looking for-oysters on the half shell, fried clams, fish and chips, you get the idea. Nothing gourmet by any means, but everything was really, really delicious. The seafood tasted fresh and our fried items were prepared spot on. Fries appeared to be cut from whole potatoes, not the cheap crinkle cuts or pre-formed ones that are so common. We also shared a oyster po-boy and were delighted with the addition of bacon to the sandwich. The only thing that detracted from the atmosphere was the obnoxious sound effects from the video lottery machines that someone was playing while we were there. Other than that, Shuckers has made it on our list of lunch spots in L.C. that are worth returning to.

    I don't live nearby, but whenever I'm in town I must visit Shuckers. My husband is a big fan of oysters and even after having them at 5+ places Shuckers is still his favorite because the price is right and the quality is unmatched. We live in a place where we can easily get oysters from Washington or Alaska and he maintains that Shuckers' are the best. Other food items here can be underwhelming but the beers are priced right. Try a porter the next time you're having oysters, you won't regret it. The oyster shooters are great as well. I really appreciate the mildly divey atmosphere and tasty (raw) oysters here. The proximity to Siletz Bay and a good local history museum make this an essential stop on your trip to Lincoln City.

    Hubby loves oysters, I pass, but Shuckers was close to our condo and we weren't so hungry so I thought it was a good time to try it. For a dive bar it was fine. Service was good. The two bartenders took care of the tables. Hubs had six oysters. They were fresh but two were large, three were small and one was tiny. I had a cheeseburger which was an OK cheeseburger. Had coleslaw instead of fries and it was standard. Hubby also had the clam chowder which was thick enough to plaster walls.

    I called to ask about hours and was told they were open and serving until 8. We drove 20 minutes for oysters and arrived at 7:30 to be rudely told they were now only serving bar food. In hindsight I'm glad we went elsewhere since it looked dirty and understaffed.

    Please put the correct hours for food service. We got there at 9:30pm they told us no food service. As we all see everyone still getting served and eating but they can still serve drinks... All we wanted was oysters.

    almost missed out on finding such a great place,by assuming,it would end up being a dive bar-NOT!! we were staying a block or so away at the LookingGlass inn, which is adjacent to Mo's. Well,our first nite wanted Mo's, but there was a ,line out the door & come to find out,they had no bar, So we hopped in our vehicle & drove around Lincoln City for an hour or so & found a few locals mentioning Roadhouse 101, *that's another review*, Coming from CA for a few days,all we wanted was fresh local seafood,preferably king crab **could not find any ANYWHERE! HUH? so we decided on this day 2 of our trip to try the local bar just up the street. .surprisingly,the menu seemed exactly what we wanted. the atmosphere, reminded us of a few of our fav. places we frequent.Except,ours dont sell or even make for that matter,fresh seafood,like oyster shooters,oysters on 1/2 shell,also we tried razor clams for the 1st time. I had the prawns sauteed in white wine & garlic. OMG the young man who cooks this stuff is fantastic. Also met the bartender Karina,not sure of spelling. she's terrific. wish we'd stopped in last nite also spoke with several locals ,everyone so friendly,just a fun place to come to.will definitely come back in again on another trip.

    Ah, Shuckers is one of our new favorites on the coast. I had the dinner salad with six oyster shooters in bloody mary with jalapeno vodka. Heaven. The price for that as a whole was around 15 dollars. My partner had the butter sautéed shrimp and was very very happy with it. I just wish their grill didn't shut down at around 8:30pm :( Anyway the atmosphere is almost "Cheers" in here- plenty of local regulars who love to come in here and kick back. Friendly hard-working bartender and server. Plenty of TV's too! If we lived here, this would likely be a regular haunt for us.

    Went here on 8/16 with my husband and brother in law who are both from Portland. Me being from the East Coast, I wanted some quality seafood. I can't get oysters in DC during the summer that are good without paying the equivalent of child support. So, during our trip to the Coast to achieve bucket list item "put feet in Pacific so that I can conquer another continental body of water" we found this place based on the good reviews. We're laid back folks who enjoy a good local dive so we picked this placed based on the high reviews and the oyster bounty. Upon walking in, I was amongst my kinfolk - NASCAR was on the tv. We sat down and the bartender was out server. He was, as many others have noted, quite surly. In fact, he was downright unfriendly and seemed pissed off that he had to oh, take our orders and provide a level of customer service above mixing drinks. My brother in law had the giant Oyster sampler which was delicious from everything I sampled. My husband got a dozen fried oysters buffalo style which were fantastic - very juicy and large. I had the oyster po boy which I asked for without lettuce and tomato....so I of course got it with lettuce and tomato because the bartender didn't write it down. When the check came we asked him to divide it with my brother in law on one check and my husband & I on the other....so of course my husband got the solo check. Then the bartender was exasperated because we asked him to do it correctly. All in all the quality of the food earns a 4 star rating, but service was a zero hence the 2 star overall rating.

    Don't let the atmosphere and the look of this place dissuade you. Yes it's a little bit of a dive on the inside.....yes there's a dedicated covered smoking area......yes those are booths and padded bar stools.....yes this is a bar with no children allowed......and yes lots of patrons don't have all their teeth......but the food is amazing. (Fortunately for me most of the above listed items are actually a plus for me.) Oyster po' boy sandwich with bacon and fresh tomatoes was amazing. Oyster shooters and oysters on the 1/2 shell fresh and perfect. Sides of cornbread that are baked fresh and huge. They also occasionally have lobster mac and cheese that is not to be missed. The servers are quick and friendly (did I mention they are a bar) and the drinks strong. Our server was nice enough to let me drink my bottle of champagne without charging us a corkage fee. (FYI.....drinking champagne doesn't exactly fit the style and decor of the place but I really like champagne with my oysters.) This is a not to be missed stop on the coast. I feel for the ambience the food prices are a little high. But other than that I have no complaints.

    This is a mainstay for us. We come to the coast a couple times a year and always eat here once, if not twice. We were so disappointed this year - both my husband and I felt like greasy spoons after we left. The food was absolutely yuck - and the service has slipped to unrecognized able. We won't be back, which I am sorry to say....Shuckers if you read this - Marc hates his job and should move on.

    Went on 1/1/14! Seat yourself. Lots of locals. Bartender very busy and not super friendly initially. Ordered Bloody Mary - decent. Also, fish and chips. Chips = oily soggy over fried. Fish - cod mildly overfried but not soggy, +super fresh. Good portion. Steamers - good not too garlicky. Oily broth. 2 tiny pieces of bread to dip. I asked for more - they happily gave me 2 slices of sourdough sandwich type bread - no baguette. Still a local joint we would return too.
